SAWLOG - Minimum diameter: 6" inside bark
- Maximum diameter: 28" outside bark (large end)
- This mill accepts 12', 14' and 16' logs, with a 6" trim allowance. They will accept up to 10%, 10'6" logs in each load.
- All loads must contain a minimum of 50% 16' logs
- All limbs cut flush with body
- Pasture spruce not accepted
- No rocks, wires or branches
- No Red Stain in logs with butt diameter less than 12". Logs greater than 12" butt diameter with Red Stain is acceptable as long as the growth rings are visible and wood is sound.
- No butt rot on logs less than 12" butt diameter, for logs over 12" butt diameter , up to 1/3 rot is acceptable.
- No excessive quantities of rot, crook, sweep, seams or other defects
- Sweep - for logs 6" to 12" to diameter, no more than 1" in 8' of length and no more than 2" in 8' of length for 12" and up top diameter logs.
- Must be free of worm holes
- Butt will be cut square( hinge wood will be trimmed FLUSH) Excessive butt flare MUST be removed. No split butts.
- No punky spruce, cull trees, chicots, stubs or dead wood or burnt wood
- Logs will be laoded with butts turned one way

TREE LENGTH - Minimum top diameter (inside bark): 4"
- Minimum butt diameter (inside bark): 6"
- Maximum butt diameter (outside bark): 28"
- Minimum Length: 12'6"
- Tree with butt diameter between 6" and 10": No butt rot will be acceptablce. Tree must be butted if required; if not, the tree will be rejected.
- Trees with butt diameter greater than 10": 1/3 less of the butt diameter defective will remain acceptable with no deduction. If the defect exceeds 1/3 of the butt diameter, the tree must be butted. If not the tree will be rejected.
- Red stain will not be accepted in trees with butts less than 10". Trees 10" or greater Red Stain is acceptable as long as growth rings are visible and wood is sound.
- All trees with major defects such as excessive rot, crook, sweep, seams or worms holes will be rejected.
- Any load containing an excessive quantity of non-acceptable trees could be rejected.
- No punky Spruce, cull trees, chicots,stubs,Pasture Spruce, dead wood, burnt wood, or forked trees.
- All knots must be cut flush with the body of the tree.
- All tree butts must be cut square (trim off hinges, felling notches and split butts)
- All forked top trees will be trimmed.
- Minimum acceptable top size is 4". Anything below this is considered a Rat tail and will not be accepted.
- All trees must be free of foreign material(rocks, wires, branches)
- All trees having excessive butt flare must be trimmed.
- A cross piece should be placed between the butt and tops to permit proper unloading.
- Any logs cut from the treelength are to be considered part of the load and MUST be included in load. Suppliers found not doing this will have loads rejected.
