• Spruce and fir only
• Acceptable lengths: 16'6 and 12'6" 
• Nothing under 5" inside the bark
• 20% of load (by piece count) can be 5" logs
• 80% of load must be 6" and up
• No maximum diameter
• 60% or more of 16' logs
• Maximum 30% fir 

      Grade 2

• Nothing under 5"
• More than 20% of 5" logs (by piece count)
• More than 30% fir

      TREE LENGTH

• Minimum top: 4"
• Minimum butt: 7"
• Minimum length: 12'6"
• Butts between 7" and 10" must have no rot
• Butts 10" and bigger: maximum of 25% rot
• GRADE 1: 70% spruce or more, and 70% saw material or more
• GRADE 2: Less than 70% spruce, or less than 70% saw material
