- Bolts must measure between 9' to 9'4" for 9-foot studwood
- Bolts must measure between 8'4" to 8"6" for 8-foot studwood
- Minimum diameter: 4 inches (inside bark)
- Maximum diameter: 12 inches (inside bark)
- Butt flare limited to 5cm or 2" from main bole
- Rot, excessive crook, dead and burnt wood are unacceptable
- Hard red stain is acceptable, white flecked red stained bolts are unacceptable
- Maximum sweep is 5 cm or 2" per bolt of studwood, no forks allowed
- Knots must be cut flush with the body of the bolt
- Splits, scarfs and other mechanical damage are unacceptable
- Bolts exhibiting SEAMS/CAT FACES/PORCUPINE CHEWS greater tham 2.54 cm or 1" shall be put in the pulpwood.
- Age at Delivery: One(1) month or less from June 1st to September 30th; two months or less remainder of the year.
